Troy Lee Meeks, age 76, of Alma passed away on January 15, 2021 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness.He was born in Bacon County on June 1, 1944 to E. Z. Meeks and Clydie Mae Thomas Meeks. Mr. Meeks retired from Hazlehurst Mills; was a Board Member at Jeff Davis Credit Union and was a life long member of Wolf Pit Church.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Janet Pitts Meeks of Nicholls; two daughters, Christy Hall of Hazlehurst, and Lynn Hale of Baxley, one brother, Tommy Meeks (Rose Marie) of Hazlehurst; two sisters, Gail Simmons and Sue Spell (Ronnie) of Baxley, three grandsons, Preston Thornton, Gunner and Levi Hale and four great-grandchildren, Brantley & Cayden Thornton, Liana & Layla Hale.

Graveside services will be held January 18, 2021 at Wolf Pit Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. T. F. Yawn and Rev. Danny Turner officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery from 1:00 Pm until funeral time.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
