Velera Johnson Servat, age 93, of Houston Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 5th after a short illness. She was a native of Bacon County but had lived in Texas for many years. Velera was daughter of the late Edward O. Johnson and Esther Lou Mims Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husbands Raymond Logan and Joseph Servat.

Survivors include her son, Jack Edward Logan and wife Kathryn of Escatawpa, MS. daughter, Verna Dianne Dickinson and husband Gregory of Houston, TX., a niece, Janet Taylor Stewart; also 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday,January 9th at 11:00 AM at Elizabeth Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
