Virgil Estell Swain, age 70, of Alma passed away suddenly on January 18, 2021 after a short illness. He was born in Bacon County on August 10, 1950 to Estell Swain and Lucille Conwell Cothern. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Swain and Leonard Swain.

Survivors include his son, Nathan Swain; four brothers, Tracy Swain (Suzie), J. W. Swain (Teresa) and Rex Swain all of Alma and Randy Cothern of Waycross; two sisters, Frances Altman of Waycross and Margaret Fielding of Alma.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 21 ^st at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Deen and Rev. Tim Bennett officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Mask and social distancing will be required.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
