Virginia "Ginger" Kuehner, age 71, of Waycross passed away Thursday, August 20th at St. Vincent's Hospital after a short illness. She was a native of Jeff Davis County and had lived in Bacon County for many years, was daughter of the late Dewey Wood and Maudie Lee Jeffcoat Wood and was also preceded in death by two brothers D L Wood and Rodney Wood. Ginger was a member of the University Church of God in Waycross.
Survivors include three children, Jeffery Perry of Macclenny, FL, Joey Kuehner U S Marines stationed in Boston, MA, Karen Kuehner of Harrisburg, PA, one grandchild Serentity Skye Perry, five brothers, Billy Creamer of Hazlehurst, GA., Grady Wood of Clayton, NC., David Wood of Wilson Mill, NC., Ricky Wood of Jesup, GA. and John Wood of Brunswick, four sisters, Carolyn Towns of Waycross, Catherine Moorefield of Clayton, NC, Michelle Herndon of Waycross and Patricia Carter of Alma, 11 nieces, 8 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday August 23rd at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Herndon, Rev Claude Bowen, Rev. Hal Jeffcoat and a eulogy by Scotty Herndon. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 P M until funeral time.
Active pallbearers will be, Michael, Jared, Kevin, Rickey, Corey and Trent Wood, Scotty Herndon, Brandon Hayes, Marcus Sellers and Michael Cremer.
