Vivian Mae Suttlemyre, age 75, of Alma passed away on Sunday, September 23, 18 at Sears Manor Nursing Home in Brunswick, Georgia after an extended illness. She was born on October 20, 1942 in Pike County, Kentucky. She was daughter of the late Willie Sowards and Ola Mullins Sowards and preceded in death by her husband, James William Suttlemyre, a stepson, Billy Coy Suttlemyre, three brothers, Sam Sowards, Sr., Bill Sowards and Paul Sowards and two sisters, Pauline Wiley and Faye Twyman. She was a member of the Alma United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two children, Michael Leroy Palmer of Alma, and Vicky Suttlemyre Davis of Brunswick, GA., one brother, Mickey Sowards of Corona, CA., a sister, Nevelyn Stark of Alabama, three grandchildren, Sierra Davis, Billy Palmer (Kayla) and Chris Palmer (Kebra) and 5 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 27 ^th at 11:00 AM at Pine Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Whatley and Rev. Allen Hartsfield officiating.The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
