Vonda Lou Spivey Dixon, age 56, of Alma passed away at her residence on September 19, 2021 after an extended illness. She was daughter of the late Horace Matthew Spivey and Martha Carter Spivey. Besides her parents she was preceded by brother, Larry Horace Spivey and sister Jenette Jowers.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Dixon; daughters, Vonda Nicole Dixon of Alma, Kayla Dawn Mercer (John) Sessoms, brother, Nathaniel Deron Spivey of Blackshear; two sisters, Martha Virginia Carver of Douglas and Darrell Diane Steed (Jimbo) of Nicholls and three grandchildren, John Tyler Mercer, Jr., Nicholas Gage Dixon and Henry Grant Mercer.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Jimbo Steed officiating. Interment will follow in Roxie Mae Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Joshua Gonzalez, Gabriel Gonzalez, Jeffrey Greer, Bubba Horton, Andy Spivey and Patrick Steed. Honorary pallbearers will be; Tyler Greer, Carl Mercer, Jr., Blaine Wade and Adam Spivey.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
