Lawton Wade Douglas, age 68, passed away at his home October 21, 2025, after an extended illness. He was born in Bacon County on October 24, 1956, to Darrell Douglas and Nellie Faye Wade Douglas. He is preceded in death by his father, Darrell Douglas and his sister, Von Thomas.

He was a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church, the Carpenters Local #256, and the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Douglas; two daughters, Felicia Millering (Thomas) of Cincinnati, OH and Casey Smith (Chad) of Alma; three grandchildren, Aubree Smith, Ava and Caroline Millering; one great-grandchild, Everly Castillo; sister, Susie Queen (Everette) of Alma; special friends, Dewey and Joyce Griffin, Tim Pye, and Dewayne Pack.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 24, 2025, in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home at 2 PM with Bro. Dwayne Pack officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until service time.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
