Obituary
Walter Ewing Taylor, III age 52, of Alma passed away suddenly at the Bacon County Hospital on Thursday, January 22nd. He was a native of Washington, DC. but had lived in Alma for many years. Walter was son of the Walter E. Taylor, Jr. and Sandra Lee Shenefelt and preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Taylor.
Survivors include his wife of years 22 years, Traci Knowles Taylor of Alma, three sons, Cody Taylor of Waycross, Walt Taylor and fiancé Megan Barber and Dalton Taylor, a daughter, Erika Taylor all of Alma, sister, Sheryl T. Hamlett (Bobby) of Surrency, 2 grandchildren, Lyla Kate Taylor and Bentleigh Klaire Wade of Alma, 5 nieces and nephews, Heather McCrea, Leigh-Anne Hennesy, Kristen J. Miller, Robert Mann Hamlett, Jr and William P. Hamlett.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 25th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. R. B. Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home between 6 and 8 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Robert Taylor, Scott McCarty, Blaine Wade, Kerry Green, and Bradley Miller. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
