Obituary

Wanda “Jan” Haselden, age 71, of Alma passed away September 8, 2026, at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born September 16, 1954, in Bacon County to the late James Wilbur Wheeler and Thelma Hayes Wheeler Lewis.

Mrs. Jan was known for her sweet and humble spirit. She attended Bridgeford Church of God and Liberty Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jones R. Haselden and granddaughter, Kiley Faith Haselden. Survivors include two sons, James Haselden (Melody) and Kevin Haselden; grandchildren, Caden, Kelsie, Ransom and Brayden Haselden; three step grandchildren, Brittany, Jesselyn and Holt Boatright; a host of great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren; sister, Pam Mullis (Windell); nieces and nephew, Brandi Lee (Travis), Becky Beckham (Chris) and Stacy Mullis (Crystal).

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Bishop R. B. Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow in Mims Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until service time.

Active pallbearers will Brayden, Haselden, Caden Haselden, Ransom Haselden, Hoyt Boatright, Gary Ellis and Josh Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Staff of Twin Oaks Nursing Home and all others in attendance.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
