Wanda Joyce Lamontagne, age 66, passed away June 08, 2025, after an extended illness. She was born February 15, 1959, in Brunswick, GA to the late Henry William Strickland, Jr and Eva Anderson Strickland. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Carsen Landis and her brother, Marvin Strickland.

Though she held many jobs throughout her life, her favorite role was being a homemaker. She found true joy in caring for her family, and her two daughters were the light of her life. She loved being "Nanny" to her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. Her beloved fur babies, Snuggles and Sophie, were her constant companions, and she cared for them with deep devotion. Most of all, Joel was the love of her life- her partner, her best friend, and her steady source of love and strength.

She is survived by her husband, of 16 years, Joel Lamontagne; two daughters, Lisa Lawrence (Danny) of Brunswick, Ga, Jenny Landis (Josh) of Alma; one step-daughter, Trisha Bryan (Derek) of Waycross; six grandchildren, Matthew Lawrence (Mikela), Corbin Lawrence (Joy Youmans), Khloe Pearson, Fisher Landis, Brysen Landis, and Layne Landis; two step-grandchildren, Sean and Emma Bryan; three great-grandchildren, Masey, Malachi, and Mason Lawrence; two dogs, Snuggles and Sophie; three brothers, Glenn Strickland, Carl Strickland (Jane) of Blackshear and J.D. Strickland (Judy) of White Oak, GA; one sister, Pauline Keene (Roy). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 5-7 PM at Crosby Funeral Home.
