Wanda Barnes Tippins, age 72, of Waycross passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Hospice House in Waycross after an extended illness. She was born in Alma on April 26, 1945 to the late W. D. Barnes and Bertha Mae Staley Shepard; besides her parents her sister Patricia McKinney, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, James Andrew Tippins of Kings Mountain, NC., two children, Walter Barnes of Waycross, GA. and Renee Hardisty of Baxley, GA. one granddaughter, Madison Hardisty, a niece Lisa White (Chris) of Douglas, GA. and a great niece and nephew, Brandi Tanner and Micajah White.

Memorialization is by cremation.
