Wendell L. Johnson, age 73, formerly of Alma passed away January 31, 2024 at his home in Westgreen after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Andrew "Bud" Johnson and Lavada Taylor Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Garwayne Johnson, Twain Johnson and Waylon Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Dyal Moore Johnson of Westgreen; three children, Marty Johnson and wife Julie, Wendy Duck and husband Larry and Cameron Johnson all of Alma; two step-sons, Corey Moore and wife Debra and Grant Moore of Westgreen; six grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Kaleigh Douglas, Slade Johnson, Emma Johnson, Maghan Campbell, and Lauren Dyal and three step grandchildren, Garrett, Brody and Baylee Moore and three  sisters, Joannie Herrington and husband Howard of Baxley, Donna Justice and husband Ricky of Nicholls and Kimberly Johnson.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Elizabeth Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev. Vic Peacock officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
