Wendi Cothern, age 43, of Alma passed away December 31, 2022 at Satilla Hospice after an extended illness. She was born January 26, 1979 to the late James Larry Cothern and Patti Lynn Fitchett. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James Henry Cothern.

Mrs. Wendi was a member of the Alma Church of God and a Dispatcher for Boatright Trucking.

Survivors include four children, C. J. Preston, Addison and Adian Cothern and Mia Preston all of Alma; two grandchildren, Jaelyn Barnes and Kaliyah Brinson; three brothers, Bobby Peacock (Amanda) of South Carolina, John Fitchett (Suzy) and Brian Fitchett of Waycross; aunt and uncle, Sherry Yearty and Bruce Cothern; nieces and nephews, Maygen and Hayden Peacock, Brody Fitchett and Zach Peacock; also five God babies, Ametrius Williams, Tre Stewart, Niya Moore, Takari Renrick and Theron Moore.

In lieu flowers donations may be made to the memorial fund at Pineland Bank.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Alma Church of God with Pastor Travis and Matt Peavy officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the church Friday from 10:00 AM until service time.
