Willa (Billie) M. Walker, age 87, of Alma passed away December 20th at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Blackshear but had lived in Jacksonville for 50 years then moving to Alma 5 years ago. Willa was daughter of the late Randall W. Liles and Sophronia Walker Liles and preceded in death by two sons, Johnny V. and Rusty Johnson, a step-granddaughter, April Arrowood, brother & sister in-law, Alvin & Vivinia Liles, three sisters & brother in-laws, Juanita & Cleary Davis, Jeanette & Charles (Red) Oliver and Sarah & John Card. She was a member of Hollyford Baptist Church of Jacksonville, FL for many years and Oak Hill Free Will Baptist when she moved to Alma.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Andrew J. (Jack) Walker of Alma, a brother & sister in-law, Randy & Cathy Liles of Jacksonville, two daughters in-law, Cheryl W. Johnson of Alma and Linda Johnson of Jacksonville, three grandchildren, Natalie Bozeman, Timmy Johnson and Julie Hottenger, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 22nd at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Barth officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 AM until funeral time.
Active pallbearers will be; Rodney Wilson, P.J. Douglas, Mickey Anderson, Jim Carter, Pinckney Rogers and Gene Taylor, Honorary pallbearers will be; Staff of Alma Dialysis and Staff and Residents of Twin Oaks Nursing Home.
