William P. "Bill" Martin, age 70, of Alma passed away on December 17, 2018 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after an extended illness. He was born on September 24, 1948 to the late James Boyd Martin, Sr. and Jessie Albertta Doty Martin. His wife Muriel Virginia Thompson Martin, a son, Drew Martin, two grandchildren, Hunter and Jacob Martin and two brothers, Donald and Ross Martin preceded him in death.

Survivors include three children, Dale Martin (Christy), Dane Martin (Ashley) and Dawn Taylor (Chris) of Alma, two brothers, James Boyd Martin, Jr. "Jim" and Mike Martin (Gail) of Alma, two sisters, Elizabeth Martin "Cookie" of Alma and Kathy Douglas (Earl) of Valdosta, GA., 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20 ^th at 11:00 Am from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. R. B. Gaskins and Rev. Edmund Thrift officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Rodney Wilson, W. R. Taylor, James Martin, Freddy Stallings, Kenneth Allen and Scotty Thompson. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
