William “Bill” Murrhee, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home February 20, 2026, after an extended illness. He was born in Charlton County on November 18,1960, to Edward Hall Murrhee and Margery Crews Murrhee. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Murrhee and sister, Debra McInturff.

He retired from the logging industry after many years and was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Melinda Cribb Murrhee; his mother, Margery Murrhee of Yulee, FL; his son, Edwin Shane Murrhee of Savannah; daughter, Sheena Colson (Norman) of Hazlehurst; three grandchildren, Devan and Gage Murrhee and Edwin Murrhee; one great-grandchild, River Murrhee; and sister, Belinda Holton of Kingsland, GA.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 2 PM in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Davis officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home 1 PM until service time. Interment will follow at Rigdon Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include Chris Tomlinson, Chris McCue, Norman Colson, Camren Andrews, Liam Hemsley, and Jaden Lee. Honorary pallbearers include Mark Cribb, Wayne McInturff, and J.D. Stokes.
