William F. (Dub) Taylor, age 90, of Alma passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Memorial Health Medical Center. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Charlie Taylor and Emma Taylor. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Taylor Davis and sister, Bonell Murphy.

Mr. Taylor was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church and retired from Ferrell Gas after many years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Louise Cothern Taylor; son, William Michael Taylor (Naomi); daughter, Marie Crews (Jesse); son-in-law, Danny Davis and sister, Christine Melton; also 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Miles and Pastor Charles Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Thomas Grayson, Adam Grayson, Brian Tanner, David Davis, Daniel Davis and Peyton Tanner. Member of Friendship Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
