William Hardy, Jr. age 69 of Alma passed away suddenly Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Bacon County Hospital. He was born in Jasper, Florida on March 20, 1948 to the late William Hardy, Sr. and Estella Harris Hardy but made his home in Alma for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife Ella Yvonne Nelson Hardy, a daughter, Jacqueline Newson, a brother, Charles Hardy and two sisters, Diane and Mildred Hardy. William was a Member of First African Baptist Church was owner and operator of Hardy Cleaning Service for many years; he was considered a friend and always willing to help everyone that needed him.

Survivors include his daughter, Carla Hardy of Alma, two brothers, John Hardy of Brunswick, GA. and Phillip Hardy of Greenville, SC., two sisters, Ella Mae Monroe of Texas and Jo Anne Batton of Alma; also 8 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 21st at Crosby Funeral Home from 6 to 9 PM.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home,

Memorialization is by Cremation.
