William Walter (Bill) Lee, Sr. age 71, of Alma died early Sunday morning at his home after an extended illness.  He was a native of Bacon County, son of the late Holstein T. (H T) Lee and Lillian Perkins Lee and was also preceded in death by a brother, Dick Lee, a sister, Bobbie Beal and brother-in-law, Dr. Jimmie Beal. Bill was a C P A, member of the Georgia Society of CPAs, active in the Waycross Chapter of GSCPAs, past president and treasurer, past president of the Alma Lions Club, life long member of the Alma United Methodist Church and for many years was head of the financial committee and was an ardent University of Georgia Bulldog Fan where he attended college.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jeanie Cliatt Lee of Alma, a son William Walter Lee, Jr. of Alma, a daughter, Krista Lee McCrea (David) of Alma, a grandson, Jacob Sweat of Alma and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 o'clock at the Alma United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Crosby and Rev. Buddy Whatley officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the church Wednesday between 10 A M and 11:00 A M.

Active pallbearers will be, Charles Douglas, Jerry Sweat, Zack Johnson, Tom Deen, Gus Latham, Randy Wheeler and Gavin Vickers. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
