Willie Mae Lewis, age 79, of Alma died Friday March 6, 2015 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late Willie Floyd Holton and Lydia Music Holton and was also preceded in death by her husband Eugene Lewis, a grandson, Ray Tanner, a son-in-law Vick Smith, four brothers, Bill, Talmadge, Buddy and Fred Holton. Willie Mae was a member of Wesley Chapel Congregational Methodist Church (WolfPit).
Survivors include two sons, Billy Lewis of Douglas, Mike Lewis (Lorna) of Alma, three daughters, Shelia Lott, Margaret Smith and Judy Lewis all of Alma, two brothers, Monroe and Ronnie Holton of Alma. Also 10 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Rigdon, Rev. T F Yawn, Pastor Danny Turner and Rev. David Capps officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between 6 and 9 P M. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be, Ronnie Lott, Jared Taft, Aron Lewis, Victor Smith, Shawn Lott and Travis Stone. The Wolfpit Adult Women Sunday School Class will be considered honorary pallbearers.
