Yvonne Johnson Waters, age 83, passed away May 30, 2025, after an extended illness. She was born January 22, 1942, to the late George Clemule Johnson and America "Merca" Music Johnson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Revis W. Waters; four brothers, Herman, Maryland, Clifford ("Sleepy") Johnson and C. L. White; two sisters, Jessie Mae Strickland and Willie Mae Royals.

Survivors include, one daughter, Debbie Carter (David Myers); two sons, Johnny Waters (Kim) and Eddie Waters, Sr (Marsha); six grandchildren, Ryan Carter (Amy), Brandon Carter (Maura), Jessica Hopkins, Eddie Waters, Jr., Michael Manning (Morgan) and Chelsie Carver (Chan). Twelve great-grandchildren also survive.

She was a member of Alma First Church of the Nazarene for many years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 03, 2025, at 11AM in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Ellis and Rev. Dan Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Carters Chapel Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Monday, June 2, 2025, at the funeral home from 6-8 PM.

Active pallbearers include Ethan Hopkins, Ezra Carter, Mike Overstreet, Jimmy Roppe, Franklin McDonald, and Patrick McCarty.

Honorary pallbearers include the Hardees Breakfast Club and the Warriors of Truth Sunday School Class.
