Zeak Steedley, age 98, of Alma passed away peacefully at Hospice Satilla October 24, 2023 after a short illness. He was son of the late Marvin Steedley and Samantha Turner Steedley. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years Audrey Carter Steedley, daughter and son in law, Elsie and Joseph Sellers, son-in-law, Dennis Cromer, three brothers, Lester Steedley, McKinley Steedley and H. D. Steedley and sister, Lillian Mitchum.

Mr. Steedley served in the US Army. He was a retired farmer but was best known for his tree cutting services. He was a long-standing member of Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his six children, Ricky Steedley (Louise), Bryan Steedley (Margie), Tanya Foskey (Tom), Lila Cromer, Julie Mullis (Steve) and Lisa Robinson (Tony) all of Alma; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Henderson officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening between 6 and 8 PM.

Grandsons and Great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
